ABS/RSS Statement Guidance Video
Active members can now view their ABS/RSS Statements via the member self-service (MSS) portal.
Some members may have experienced difficulty accessing their ABS/RSS statements. ABS/RSS are located in the ‘Not Protected’ section of MSS, under ‘My Documents’ tab. If you continue to have issues accessing your statement, please contact HSC Pension Service by email NIFRSABSQueries@hscni.net
A step-by-step ABS/RSS guidance video has also been uploaded to the HSC Pension Service website under Annual Benefit Statements – Remediable Service Statements | HSC Pension Service to assist members with navigating and understanding their statements.
FPS/Special NFPS (Modified) Schemes
Pension contribution rates in these schemes are higher than those of the CARE Scheme. Any contributions owed must be repaid within 12 weeks of the ABS/RSS issue date each year or upon retirement.
Standard NFPS Scheme
Pension contributions rates in this scheme are lower than those of the CARE Scheme. Members may choose to defer receiving payment and have it held on their pension account until a later date or they can elect to receive payment at any time up to retirement. If members do not make an election either way we will assume that they want to defer their decision until a later date. Please note, if a member receives contribution adjustment before retirement and then chooses reformed scheme benefits at retirement, your contributions will need to be adjusted again as you will owe monies to the scheme.
