Member Self Service (MSS)
We are pleased to advise you that the Member Self Service Portal is now live. This will be a new way to access/view your Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) pension details. Communication from our administrator HSC Pension Service will now be primarily through the portal, notifications will be sent to the email address held on your record. Note if you have not provided a personal e-mail address and your are currently employed this will have been defaulted to your work e-mail address.
You can use the Self Service Portal to:-
- View your pension account;
- Amend your personal details, such as home address, nomination details, etc;
- Active and Deferred members can perform their own pension calculations with ‘what if’ scenarios;
- View Annual Benefit Statements; and
- Pensioners and Dependants can view payslips and P60 information.
The majority of members will have received communication from HSC Pension Services with regard your Activation Key to register for the MSS Pension Portal. If not already completed please visit the HSC Registration page on following link:

Please ensure all personal details, nomination details on the MSS portal are kept up to date. Note that paper files including copies of marriage and birth certificates previously provided to NIFRS are held by NIFRS and are currently only passed to HSC Pension Service when a benefit calculation is required, members can reload these to the portal if they wish.

You only need to register for MSS if you are an active, deferred or pensioner member of any of the NIFRS pension schemes.
Note your payment of pension will not be affected if you choose not to sign up to the MSS Portal.
