HSC Engage (previously Member Self Service)

Member Self Service has now been replaced by Engage.  If you have previously registered with MSS before 26th February 2026 you will need to create a new account using the button below. There are videos below which will explain the registration and login process as well as how to navigate the new Engage platform.

Engage Login

Active members should use their work email address to register for Engage so that it matches the pension’s database and your activation email will then be sent in return. However, you can use your personal email address if you wish.

Pensioners should register for Engage using their personal email address.

Dentists: We have been made aware that some dentists have had difficulty getting access to engage. This only occurs if we hold their @hscni.net email address on their pension record and the activation link is submitted to this email. The issue arises due to the fact that dentists aren’t on our internal network and they have to access the network using a keyfob. The f5 security features appear to be blocking the link from opening correctly and it produces a ‘activation link expired’ error.

There are two solutions for this:

1. The member can contact us and we amend their email address to their personal email address. They can then try to register again and the link will go to their personal email.
2. The member goes to “Create an account” and enters their Surname, DOB and NINO, but when they reach the next page, they choose “Request an activation code” instead. We will then post you an activation code to your home address which is valid for 30 days. When the member registers using an activation code, they are given the option to enter/change the email that they use to register the account, and therefore can enter a personal email address.

New members should sign up using the Engage service. Existing users who cannot remember their password please use the ‘forgotten password’ option. If you are still receiving an error when trying to log on or sign up, please contact MSSQueries@hscni.net so we can investigate further.
